Snapchat’s adding a new feature to its Snap Map which will highlight happening events

Either based on updates from your friends or featured stories – with a clickable listing along the bottom of the map screen.

As you can see here, the new ‘Map Explore’ listings will be shown along the bottom of the map, enabling users to swipe across, and be quickly be taken to the relevant location on screen.

Snapchat Adds User Tagging in Snaps, Following Instagram’s Lead

Snapchat’s now starting to follow the same playbook, taking cues from Instagram as they look to add in more features.

The latest Instagram Stories-unique option which has now made its way to Snapchat is user tagging, which Instagram added back in November 2016.

The feature was first spotted by user Matt Rappaport and Snap has since confirmed that the option is being trialed as part of a new test.
