Study: 63% Of Aussies Would Shop Online If It Came With (Free) Next-Day Delivery

A new study has revealed that two-thirds of Australians would buy something online if it came with the promise of next-day delivery, however, very few Aussie businesses offer the service.

The latest Paypal mCommerce Index report showed 63 per cent of Aussies surveyed said next-day delivery would entice them to an online checkout, but the figure dropped to 28 per cent for stores that offer a 4-7 day delivery.

Study: 11.2 Million Aussies Now Go Online For Their Sport Content

A new report by Nielsen has revealed that 11.2 million Australians visited online content related to the sports category via any device during the month of March 2017, up eight per cent compared to February 2017.

Time spent per person consuming sports content also reported an overall increase of 64 per cent. Access via desktop was the preferred screen used (6.9 million), followed by smartphones (5.4 million) and tablet (three million). However, growth was exceptionally strong for audiences accessing sports content online via the latter two mobile devices.

Global Online Ad Spend To Surpass US$200bn (& TV) In 2017: Zenith

This year will be the first time that more advertising money will be spent on internet than TV globally, according to a new report by Zenith.

The group’s Global Advertising Expenditurereport found that global internet advertising expenditure will grow 13 per cent to US$205 billion in 2017, with the worldwide web to attract 36.9 per cent of all advertising expenditure – up from 34. per cent in 2016.

In comparison, traditional TV advertising spend will total US$192 billion.
